Ghost School is a collection of four shojo-style novellettes by horror master Hino, presenting a stylistic departure from his usual work. The stories focus on young girls on the cusp of womanhood who encounter various evils. Hino explores the contrast between youthful innocence and the darkness found in unexpected places, from dark alleys and deep forests to the depths of disturbed minds. The manga maintains Hino's signature ability to frighten and disturb readers.
