Dennou Coil

Sinopsis

Eleven years after the advent of internet-connected augmented reality eyeglasses and visors, Yūko Okonogi moves to Daikoku City, a hub for this emerging half-virtual world. There, she joins her grandmother's investigation agency, which consists of children equipped with virtual tools and metatags. She soon encounters Yūko Amasawa, a skilled hacker. In this futuristic setting, the virtual world overlays reality, populated by cyberpets and information, all visible through special cyberglasses. However, Daikoku City's cyberspace is behaving erratically, with missing cyberpets and dark entities known as "the Illegal" appearing in obsolete spaces.
