Zoe lives a quiet life with her mother in a forest cabin. One day, a carriage crashes into her chicken coop, revealing Princess Madeleine, who looks exactly like Zoe. Princess Madeleine, seeking a sabbatical, proposes they switch places, with Zoe attending Royal Rose Institute. This school is where princes and princesses from neighboring kingdoms gather to choose future emperors. Zoe accepts, motivated by her childhood love, Prince Drake, who is Madeleine's fiancé. However, upon arrival, Zoe discovers that all students, especially Drake, dislike Madeleine, and the engagement was broken months ago.
