Handlung

Following the tragic death of her parents, Dinah is sent to live with her aunt in the small town of Bizenghast. Dinah believes her aunt's house is haunted, leading her aunt and doctors to suspect she has a mental illness. The house, formerly a mental hospital and a school for juvenile delinquents, is indeed filled with restless spirits that only Dinah can see. One day, Dinah and her only friend, Vincent, discover a lost graveyard with a sunken mausoleum. Reading from a stone engraving inside binds Dinah to a contract, tasking her with releasing spirits trapped between life and the afterlife.
