Yota, a somewhat naive middle school student, lives alone in a house on the outskirts of his village. His family, however, consists entirely of yokai. His older brother is a Fukuro Mujina school bag, his sister is a powerful Kamaitachi, and his mother is a Joro spider skilled in cooking. His father, a Red Tongue, has little presence in the home. Despite their monstrous appearances, Yota finds them "cool" and shows no fear, often charming the yokai who initially try to scare him. This manga portrays the heartwarming and nostalgic daily life of this unusual family.
