Awabi

Sinopsis

Awabi is a manga collection by Kan Takahama, known for her works like "Monokuro Kinderbook". The title story, "Awabi," centers on a troubled young woman who, after collapsing drunk outside an old folks' home, inadvertently triggers a moment of clarity in a senile old man. This event leads to the formation of an unexpected bond between the woman and the old man's former mistress. The collection explores themes of age, depression, and complex relationships, often featuring un-idealized characters and a distinctive gray, tonal art style.
