In the aftermath of the 2011 tsunami and nuclear meltdowns, Fukushima has become a war-torn region, drawing parallels to Syria. Northern Japan, specifically Tohoku, has seceded from the union due to perceived mistreatment by Tokyo, forming the Nihonmatsu Front. This rebel group battles the Japanese government along Fukushima's southern border. Internally, the Nihonmatsu Front is challenged by the radicalized "State of F," composed of Tohoku natives and foreign guerrillas, known for their absolute obedience and terror tactics. The story follows a British journalist who infiltrates this volatile region as foreign forces strike into northern Japan.
