Forsaken

Sinopsis

The music video for Dream Theater's song "Forsaken" was produced by Gonzo and directed by Yasufumi Soejima. It is set in a futuristic, science-fiction world, departing from the 19th-century setting of Ivan Turgenev's short story "Phantoms," which inspired the song. The video features a male lead, an innocent man imprisoned in an inhumane world, and a female lead, an android created as a plaything for an ancient regime. The narrative explores the interaction between these two characters, with the song's lyrics hinting at a deceptive relationship where the man perceives beauty while being exploited.
